How to verify my linked card

The security of our users’ funds is our top priority. To keep your money as safe as possible, we need you to verify any new payment card you use to top up your Wirex account. This helps us ensure that it’s you making the transaction.

To confirm your card, we’ll ask you to provide a 4-digit confirmation code. You can find this code on any summary of financial activity provided by your card issuer. We’ll also send this code as a description of your top-up transaction. 

How to confirm a card on mobile

  1. Login to your Wirex account.
  2. Click Add Funds (+).
  3. In the Form Linked Card section, click on a card with the Confirmation Needed status. If you don’t have any linked card, click Link New Card, follow these instructions and then proceed to the card confirmation.
  4. On the Enter Amount screen, top up your Wirex account. Then, refer to your card statement. Check the statement for your 4-digit confirmation code.
  5. During your next top-up, click Confirm Card on the Enter Amount screen.
  6. On the Card Confirmation screen, enter your 4-digit confirmation code. You have 5 attempts to enter the correct code. 
    Note: The same confirmation code will be sent to you with each top-up transaction until the card is confirmed.
  7. Once the card is successfully confirmed, you’ll receive a notification.

If you already have unconfirmed cards, you can also click Confirm Your Linked Cards on the Home screen, select the relevant card and follow the steps above starting from number 4.
 

How to confirm a card on web

  1. Login to your Wirex account.
  2. Select the account you’d like to top up and click Add Funds.
  3. In the Linked cards section, click on a card with the Confirmation Needed status. If you don’t have any linked card, click Link New Card, follow these instructions and then proceed to the card confirmation.
  4. On the Enter Amount screen, top up your Wirex account. Then, refer to your card statement. Check the statement for your 4-digit confirmation code.
  5. During your next top-up, click Confirm Card in the Add Funds window.
  6. In the Confirm Linked Card window, enter your 4-digit confirmation code. You have 5 attempts to enter the correct code.
     Note: The same confirmation code will be sent to you with each top-up transaction until the cardis confirmed.
  7. Once the card is successfully confirmed, you’ll receive a notification.

 
If you already have unconfirmed cards, you can also click Confirm Your Linked Cards on the Home screen, select the relevant card to confirm and follow the steps above starting from number 3.
