I inherited a deceased family member's Wirex account. What are my next steps?

Region: Europe

If you inherit or otherwise become the owner of a deceased family member’s Wirex account, Wirex has processes in place to ensure a smooth transition of assets. The first step you should take if this happens is to contact us and make us aware of the situation. Our customer support team will walk you through the process. When you contact us, we will ask for some or all of the following documents:

Death Certificate
Last Will and Testament - AND/OR - Probate Documents (either Probate, Letters Testamentary, Letters of Administration, Affidavit for Collection or Small Estate Affidavit)
Current, valid government-issued photo identification of the person(s) named in the Letters Issued
A letter signed by the person(s) named in the Probate Documents instructing Wirex on what to do with the balance of the Wirex account

If you don’t have all of the required documents, please let us know, so we can assist you. If you are unfamiliar with Wirex or digital currency in general, don’t worry. We will answer any questions you may have and guide you through the process.

Please keep in mind that the required documentation and processes may differ depending on your local laws and individual circumstances.
