Wirex App: How to send funds to an external crypto wallet

Sending funds to an external account

To send funds from an external account, select the Wirex account you want to send funds from, and then click/tap Send.

If you’re sending funds from a crypto account, you will be prompted to enter the details for the receiving crypto account (Bitcoin address, Litecoin address, memo, destination tag etc.), if you are sending funds to an external bank account, you will be prompted to enter the necessary bank details.

Once you’ve entered the details, you’ll have a chance to edit them before you confirm the transaction. After you’ve reviewed the information, click Send to confirm the transaction.

Some wallets and/or exchanges may not support ETH transfers from Wirex. This happens because we're using smart contracts to send ETH, not a regular wallet as we're using multi signature wallets and control the private keys.Transactions initiated from smart contracts have a different structure of inputs/outputs inside it comparing with transfer from simple wallets. Some wallets and exchanges are not able to read these inputs/outputs and settle the incoming transfer because of their infrastructure settings. However, administrators of these wallets can manually identify such transactions and perform a force settlement which will reflect in the user’s balance.
