The following terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to the Back to School Card Promotion (the “Promotion”) which is offered by Wirex Digital Services s.r.l., subject to your location and eligibility (referred to as “Wirex”):
Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- “Dashboard” means the visual display of all your data you see when opening the Wirex App.
- “Referral Link” means the unique code the Referral will be sharing to the Referred User. Subject to applicable law, Wirex will not under any circumstances be liable to compensate Wirex users, Referrers, Referred Users or any other third parties for any losses or damages occurring as a result of their participation in this Promotion.
- “GBP” means Great British Pound.
- “Wirex App” means the Wirex mobile application which allows you to buy, store, exchange and spend a wide variety of traditional and digital currencies.
- “Working Days” means Monday to Friday, excluding weekend and any public holidays when the banks of England are closed for business.
Timescale
1. The Promotion will run from 15:01 GMT on 1st September 2025 until 23:59 GMT on 30th September 2025 (“Promotion Period”).
Eligibility
1. The Promotion is open exclusively to Wirex Verified Users in the United Kingdom (referred to as "Eligible Participants"). Verified Users are individuals who have successfully completed the KYC process in accordance with the applicable Wirex Terms and Conditions in their relevant jurisdiction. For the avoidance of doubt, no other users of the Wirex Platform are eligible to participate in this Promotion.
Participation Requirements
1. To Participate in this Promotion, Eligible Participants must successfully meet the following criteria within the Promotion Period:
The User must complete one or more of the following actions (Referral Actions) for the Eligible Participant to qualify for the Reward:
A) Spend 100 GBP at any of the following UK Merchants: Uber, Uber eats, Just eats, Deliveroo, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Amazon
Limits and risks apply. Only UK Verified Users can take part. Crypto purchases will not qualify. Rewards may be paid in cryptocurrency which can fluctuate in value. Total Rewards are capped at 50GBP per Participant. Not protected by the FOS or the FSCS.
For each 100 GBP purchase at one of the following merchants Uber, Uber eats, Just eats, Deliveroo, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Amazon, an Eligible Participant will be rewarded 10 GBP, for up 5 transactions per user. Please be advised that Eligible Participants can only earn up to a maximum of 50 GBP as a reward per Participant.
(e) Only purchases of non-cryptocurrency goods and services made in fiat currency are eligible for the purpose of meeting the 100GBP qualifying card transaction requirements in this Promotion. Any purchases of cryptocurrency or other digital assets will not count towards the qualifying transactions.
(f) Participants may withdraw from this Promotion at any time before the qualifying actions are completed by contacting: support@wirexapp.com. Withdrawal will result in the forfeiture of any pending Rewards.
(g) Referral links may not be promoted through misleading statements, spam, unsolicited messages, or paid advertising platforms. Wirex reserves the right to disqualify participants for breaching this condition.
(h) Eligible Participants who are new users will be subject to a 24 hour cooling off period before they can make their first investment or transaction. During this time, no trading or transfers can occur, and risk disclosures will be provided to support informed decision-making.
Reward
1. Wirex will grant each Eligible Participant, who fulfils the Participation Requirements the following Rewards:
- Eligible Participants who complete the Action set out in s3(a)shall receive a reward of 10 GBP.
- Rewards are fixed amounts as stated above and are not investment returns or guaranteed profits.
- Rewards are not linked to the performance of any financial product or service. Please note that cryptoasset investments are not protected by the FSCS or FOS. This means that if Wirex fails or the value of the cryptoassets falls, you may not be able to recover your funds.
- Rewards are not investment returns and should not be considered an incentive to invest. Participation should only be undertaken by Participants once the risks of cryptoassets are fully understood.
2. The Reward will be credited to the Eligible Participants’ Wirex Account within 30 Working Days after the end of the Promotion Period.
Rewards will be paid in GBP directly to the Eligible Participant’s Wirex account. If a Reward is paid in cryptocurrency, the equivalent
GBP amount will be calculated at the exchange rate provided by Wirex at the time of payment. Exchange rates may fluctuate between the time of qualification and the time of payment.
For ongoing promotions, Rewards will be processed on a monthly cycle. Any Rewards earned within a calendar month will be credited within thirty (30) days following the end of that month.
General
1. Wirex reserves the right to withhold Rewards for any reason, including but not limited to circumstances where:
- the action is prohibited by applicable law.
- identity verification is unattainable in accordance with Wirex's Terms.
- fraudulent creation of a Wirex account or other breaches of Wirex's General Terms of Service are reasonably suspected.
- an Eligible Participant possesses multiple Wirex accounts.
2. Wirex reserves the right to amend these Terms and the Rewards at any time without notice.
3. Eligible Participants are only able to qualify for one of the Rewards set out in s5.
4. Subject to applicable law, Wirex shall not, under any circumstances, be liable to compensate Wirex users or any other third parties for losses or damages incurred as a result of their participation in this Promotion.
5. Wirex may, at its sole discretion, revise any of these Terms or terminate this Promotion at any time without prior notice to Wirex users. Any changes or termination of this Promotion will not affect Rewards which have already been earned prior to the change or termination. Updates to this Promotion will be published immediately on the Wirex platform. By participating in this Promotion, you acknowledge that the receipt of a Reward is not guaranteed, and Rewards may not be paid if changes occur in the Promotion, limitations are imposed, or fraudulent activity is detected and if this Promotion is terminated.
6. This Promotion is for individual Users only and cannot be used in connection with any business or advertising affiliate activity. Should Wirex in its absolute discretion consider that a User is using this Promotion in connection with a business or advertising affiliate activity, it can withdraw your right to a Promotion Reward and remove you from the Promotion.
7. Wirex shall process personal information collected or received in connection with the Promotion as set out in its Privacy, Data Use, and Retention Policy as well as the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. By participating in this Promotion, you consent to Wirex using your personal data to administer the Promotion, verify eligibility, and distribute Rewards. Withdrawal from the Promotion will not affect any use of your personal data that took place prior to withdrawing
8. These Terms constitute the comprehensive agreement between participants and Wirex concerning the subject matter herein, superseding all previous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, whether documented or verbal.
9. This Promotion is launched by Wirex independently and there are no partnerships between Wirex and any merchant or other third parties relating to this Promotion.
10. Wirex is not responsible for any losses experienced by Users due to the fluctuations in the value of the Reward.
11. The Terms of this Promotion are governed by the laws of Croatia, and the parties irrevocably agree that the Italian courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear, settle, and/or determine any dispute, controversy, or claim (including any non-contractual dispute, controversy, or claim) arising out of or in connection with this Promotion. Please be aware that you will not have the same legal protections as you would be offered under UK law, and that you cannot use the Financial Ombudsman Service or Financial Services Compensation Scheme for this Promotion.
