If you're looking to deposit local currency into your Wirex account, you're in luck! Wirex supports various deposit methods, depending on your location and currency.
For users in Europe, SEPA transfers are the primary method for depositing EUR. This method can also be used for withdrawals. On average, SEPA transfers take two to three business days to process, but Wirex also supports SEPA Instant for faster processing times.
For users in the UK, Faster Payments is the primary method for depositing GBP. This method is also used for withdrawals. Faster Payments deposits are typically processed within a few hours, making it a great option for those looking for quick access to their funds.
However, you have to know that the deposits initiated after 5:00 PM UTC on Friday or during the weekend typically start being processed at 8:00 AM UTC on the following Monday.
NB: We support only first-party transfers, i.e. the sender’s and the receiver’s name(s) should coincide.
To initiate a deposit, simply log in to your Wirex account and navigate to the “Cash In” section on the main screen or “Accounts” -> the necessary currency account -> “Cash In”.
From there, you can select the deposit method that's available to you and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
Please note that while Wirex does not charge any deposit fees, your bank or payment provider may charge additional fees for the transaction.
