How to freeze/unfreeze your Wirex card

Wirex cards are designed to provide users with convenient and secure payment options. However, there may be situations where you want to freeze or unfreeze your card, such as if you suspect it has been lost or stolen. The good news is that this can be easily done using the Wirex app. Here's how to do it: 

To freeze your Wirex card: 

  • Open the Wirex app and go to the "Cards" tab on the dashboard. 
  • Select the card you want to freeze. 
  • Tap the "Freeze" icon located under the card. 

Freezing your card will prevent it from being used for any transactions, whether online or offline, as well as ATM withdrawals. This feature can be useful if you want to prevent any unauthorized use of your card in case it's lost or stolen. 

To unfreeze your Wirex card: 

  • Open the Wirex app and go to the "Cards" tab on the dashboard. 
  • Select the card you want to unfreeze. 
  • Tap the "Unfreeze" icon located under the card. 

Once you unfreeze your card, it will be usable again for any transactions, including online and offline payments, and ATM withdrawals. 

It's important to note that when you freeze your Wirex card, you will still be able to see your transaction history and account balance, but you won't be able to use your card until you unfreeze it. 

If you need to order a replacement card, you can contact the Wirex Customer Support team. They will assist you in ordering a new card, and when the new card arrives, activate it to start using the associated currency account again.
