Your PIN is an important security feature that keeps your Wirex card safe from unauthorised use. If you need to change your PIN, it's a quick and easy process that can be done through the Wirex app or at an ATM.
View your card PIN through the Wirex app
To view your PIN through the app, follow these steps:
- On the dashboard, tap "Cards" and select the card for which you want to view the PIN.
- Tap "Manage PIN" and select "Show PIN."
- To confirm your identity, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and your PIN will be displayed on the screen for 15 seconds.
Changing your card PIN at an ATM
To change your PIN at an ATM, follow these steps:
- Insert your Wirex card into the ATM and enter your current PIN.
- Select "Change PIN" from the menu and follow the instructions provided by the ATM.
Note: Be sure to request an account balance from the ATM after changing your PIN. This will update your PIN in the banking system and overwrite any original, offline PIN that some merchants may still use.
Changing your PIN through the Wirex app for Visa Cards
To change your PIN for Visa cards, follow these steps:
- On the dashboard, tap "Cards" and select the card you want to change the PIN for.
- Tap "Change PIN."
- To confirm your identity, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and set a new PIN.
Note: Your PIN will be updated once you set a new PIN, but some merchants may still use an offline card terminal. In these cases, you may need to enter the first, original PIN encoded into the card. However, if you request an account balance from the ATM after changing your PIN, this will overwrite the original, offline PIN.
