1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- "Wirex App" means the Wirex mobile application, which facilitates the purchase, storage, exchange, and expenditure of various traditional and digital currencies.
- "Working Days" refers to Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and any public holidays when the banks of England are closed for business.
- "WXT" signifies the Wirex Token on the Wirex Service.
2. Timescale
The October Wirex Card Promotion (hereinafter referred to as the "Promotion") shall be in effect from 12:01 am GMT on October 25th, 2023, and shall continue until 23:59pm GMT on 31st December 2023 (âPromotion Periodâ).
3. Eligibility
The Promotion is open exclusively to Wirex Verified Users from the European Economic Area (EEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC) region (referred to as "Eligible Participants"). Verified Users are individuals who have successfully completed the KYC process in accordance with the applicable Wirex Terms and Conditions.
4. Participation Requirements
4.1 To participate in this Promotion, Eligible Participants must successfully meet one of the following criteria:
a) Eligible Participants who are in possession of a physical or virtual Wirex Card must:
- Conduct a transaction of a minimum of $100 using their physical or virtual Wirex card, and
- Lock at least 100,000 WXT in the Promo tier of the Wirex app for a duration of 6 months in the Wirex App.
b) Eligible Participants who are not in possession of a physical or virtual Wirex card
- Place an order for a physical Wirex card or activate a virtual card, and
- Lock at least 100,000 WXT in the Promo tier of the Wirex App for a duration of 6 months in the Wirex App.
4.2 To lock your WXT for the purposes of this promotion, follow these steps:
- Open the Wirex app and navigate to the heart icon located at the top of the screen.
- Select the Promo tier from the available boosted tiers.
- Proceed by hitting the "Confirm" button to lock your WXT for a period of 180 days.
5. Reward
Wirex will grant each Eligible Participant who fulfils the Participation Requirements with the following Rewards:
a) Existing Wirex User in Possession of a physical or virtual Wirex card.
- the Eligible Participant shall receive a reward of $75 in WXT.
b) New Wirex User or Existing Wirex User without an ordered physical or virtual Wirex card.
- the Eligible Participant shall receive a reward of $75 in WXT.
6. Reward Currency and Exchange Rate
It is clarified that the Reward will be exclusively granted in WXT. The specific amount of WXT shall be subject to an exchange rate determined by Wirex at its sole discretion.
7. Timing of Reward
The Reward will be credited to the Customer's WXT account within 30 Working Days following the conclusion of the Promotion Period. Those chosen by Wirex as winners of the reward will be contacted by Wirex and asked to provide a cryptocurrency wallet address that the reward can be sent to.
8. Reward Conversion
The Reward can be converted to traditional fiat currency through the Wirex App at the Eligible Participants sole discretion, in accordance with the Wirex App limits for WXT exchange.
9. Limitations
Upon Wirex awarding the Reward to an Eligible Participant, no further Rewards shall be disbursed. This Promotion entitles each Eligible Participant to a single entry.
10. Amendments
Wirex retains the right to modify the Reward at its discretion, without prior notice to Eligible Participants or any other third parties.
11. General
Wirex reserves the right to withhold Rewards for any reason, including but not limited to circumstances where:
- the action is prohibited by applicable law.
- identity verification is unattainable in accordance with Wirex's Terms.
- fraudulent creation of a Wirex account or other breaches of Wirex's General Terms of Service are reasonably suspected.
- an Eligible Participant possesses multiple Wirex accounts.
12. Liability
Subject to applicable law, Wirex shall not, under any circumstances, be liable to compensate Wirex users or any other third parties for losses or damages incurred as a result of their participation in this Promotion.
13. Promotion Use
This Promotion is intended for individual Users only and may not be utilised in connection with any business or advertising affiliate activity. Wirex, at its absolute discretion, reserves the right to withdraw a User's right to a Reward and remove them from the Promotion if it reasonably believes that the Promotion is being used in connection with a business or advertising affiliate activity.
14. Termination
Wirex may, at its sole discretion, revise any of these Terms or terminate this Promotion at any time without prior notice to Wirex users. By participating, you acknowledge that the receipt of a Reward is not guaranteed, and Rewards may not be paid if changes occur in the Promotion, limitations are imposed, or fraudulent activity is detected and if this Promotion is terminated.
15. Data Handling
Wirex shall process personal information collected or received in connection with the Promotion as set out in its Privacy, Data Use, and Retention Policy.
16. Independence
This Promotion is initiated by Wirex independently, and there are no partnerships between Wirex and any merchants or other third parties in relation to this Promotion.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the comprehensive agreement between participants and Wirex concerning the subject matter herein, superseding all previous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, whether documented or verbal.
18. Governing Law
The Terms of this Promotion are governed by the laws of Croatia, and the parties irrevocably agree that the courts of Croatia shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear, settle, and/or determine any dispute, controversy, or claim (including any non-contractual dispute, controversy, or claim) arising out of or in connection with this Promotion.
