Addition of 5 New Currencies Welcomes More Customers

We have now launched Croatian Kuna (HRK), Czech Koruna (CZK), Polish Złoty (PLN), Romanian Leu (RON) and Hungarian Forint (HUF) as currencies available on Wirex’s platform, following a new partnership with payments solution company LHV. The addition will allow millions of users in Croatia, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and Hungary to top-up their Wirex accounts for free using their local currency card, as well as gain access to free multi-currency individual IBANs, free SEPA transfers, and zero foreign exchange fees.

We already operate in over 130+ countries and have over 3.1 million customers, and the addition of these five currencies on the platform will give customers in those countries the ability to seamlessly buy, hold, exchange and sell that currency, and up to 18 other traditional and cryptocurrencies from one centralised app, bridging the gap between the traditional and digital economy. As part of our endeavour to bring the benefits of cryptocurrency to the masses, the addition of these currencies will allow millions more people in the EEA region to experience a world where all currencies are equal.

Wirex’s integration with LHV has also introduced a range of additional features that will make it cheaper and easier to manage customer funds. This includes the removal of up to 3% conversion fees when topping-up with a local currency card, no foreign exchange fees, free multicurrency individual IBANs, free SEPA multicurrency transfers and SEPA instant for EUR transfers.

Waitlist Launch for New Wirex Card

The news comes following our announcement that we’ll open an exclusive waitlist for customers to gain access to an eagerly-awaited Wirex Mastercard card. This is part of a revolutionary product overhaul which will also include a rewards scheme upgrade in the coming months. Wirex’s next-generation, multicurrency card will be available to customers in the EEA region, allowing users to spend multiple currencies at over 54 million locations globally.
