Judges of the 2023 Women in Crypto campaign unveiled!

We're still busy gathering nominations for the amazing women in the 2023 Women in Crypto campaign, but now it's time to introduce you to the judges!

These six accomplished women from the crypto and blockchain industries will use their experience to evaluate all the nominees.

Get ready to meet this fantastic group of judges, who will pick the finalists for the Rising Women in Crypto Power List. We'll reveal the chosen finalists on 27th November!

Amelia Tomasicchio

As an expert in digital marketing, Amelia began working in the fintech sector in 2014 after writing her thesis on Bitcoin technology. She’s also previously an author for several international crypto-related magazines and CMO at Eidoo. Amelia is now the Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Cryptonomist, this year’s media partner of the Women in Crypto campaign. Aside from that, she is a marketing teacher at Digital Coach in Milan and currently writing a book about NFTs for the Italian publishing house Mondadori, helping artists and companies to enter in the sector.

Ani Petrova

Ani Petrova is an experienced fintech marketer and a passionate industry advocate. She is the founder of The Fintech Marketing Hub – a global community of 3,000+ fintech marketing specialists. She’s also an independent fintech marketing consultant and working with fast-growing fintech brands like Cygnetise, ARKK, CUBE and WireFX. Ani started her career with a fast-growing UK RegTech startup, then moved to one of the leading Fintech brokerages in Europe and eventually ended up managing the UK retail marketing channels for a global investment management house with EUR 500 billion in AUM.

Diana Carrasco-Vime

Diana is the Non-Executive Director of Wirex and Managing Director of Merchant Services at Lloyds Banking Group. She brings 20 years' worth of international experience in innovation for consumer and commercial financial services, having worked in all areas of payments and banking, including product design, business development, public policy, risk, compliance and governance. Throughout her career, she’s held senior positions in ServiRed, Visa, HSBC and Lloyds, as well as several advisory roles with industry bodies, regulators and private companies, of which she is most proud of working with the European Financial Coalition to counter child abuse online.

Eleonora Rocca

Eleonora is the Co-Founder, Vice-President, and Chief Marketing Officer of Horizone Group Ltd, as well as the Founder and Managing Director of WomenX Impact, the leading event and community about female empowerment, leadership and female entrepreneurship. Since 2016, she works regularly as a keynote speaker, lecturer and teacher. Additionally, she works as a corporate trainer on numerous subjects such as digital marketing, innovation, communication, personal branding, entrepreneurship, and diversity & inclusion.

George Coxon

George is the Co-Director at Nano Foundation, Industrial Fellow at the University of East London's Centre of Fintech, United Nations Summer Academy Speaker for 2023 Trend Talks, Advisor & Lecturer at The Global Blockchain Initiative, Faculty member of the Zigurat Innovation & Technology Business School Global Masters in Blockchain. With a background in Evolutionary Anthropology and finance, George is driven by a passion for creating a fair and accessible global economy. As the Director of the Nano Foundation, she actively embraces the dynamic nature of decentralised finance, working towards an inclusive and equitable financial landscape. George has been recognised as a female leader within the blockchain sector as a Judge for the 'Rising Women in Crypto Power List' by Wirex for four consecutive years (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023).

Georgia Hanias

Georgia Hanias is the founder and CEO of the PR firm Ecology Media, which works with companies focused on fintech, Web3 and renewable technologies, as well as sustainable, social impact innovations.  She heads up PR for the NEAR Foundation, the non-profit that supports Web3 development on NEAR protocol and is also a non-executive director of the fintech firm Pay-Ed which provides educational training for people interested in pursuing careers in global payments. Prior to setting up Ecology Media, Georgia was the former Head of Global Communications at Innovate Finance, a membership association for the UK's international fintech sector. She was also the diversity lead for the organisation, and actively promoted financial inclusion and attracting more women in banking and FinTech professions through initiatives such as the Women in FinTech Power List.  In 2017, Georgia served as a fintech specialist for the UK Department for International Trade, where she was responsible for developing UK DIT's Women in Fintech Global Initiative.
