Set a new Primary Device (if you have access to the current one)
How do I manage my devices?
Please check How to manage trusted devices article for easy and detailed steps on adding and removing your trusted devices.
What you CAN do in the Web Wirex app Device Management:
View all devices linked to your account
See device names and the date of when the device was confirmed
Delete Trusted Devices
What you CAN’T do in the Web Wirex app:
You can’t set or change your Primary Device
You can’t complete selfie verification
You can’t manage biometric settings
Good to know
Only mobile devices (phones/tablets) can be trusted or set as Primary
Web browsers and laptops cannot be made trusted
You can trust more than one device, but only one can be Primary
If your only trusted device is lost, use selfie verification to add a new one
You must verify a device before making it Primary or using it for sensitive actions
If a device looks suspicious or unfamiliar – remove it. Better safe than sorry
Common Questions:
Q: I got a new device and want to make it my Primary Device.
A:
Log into your new device and verify it
Open the app → Preferences → Devices
Tap your new device and select Set as Primary
Confirm the action from your old Primary Device (or use selfie verification)
Once confirmed, your new phone becomes the Primary Device. You can now remove the old one.
Q: I see a device I don’t recognize – what should I do?
A:
Go to Preferences → Devices
Tap the suspicious device
Tap Remove Device
Then change your password
Turn on two-step authentication if it isn’t already enabled
If you're unsure, it’s safer to remove it. You can always log in again later.
Q: What if I lost my Primary Device?
A: Don’t worry. You can:
Contact Wirex Support to unlink your lost device and regain access
Trust your new phone using selfie verification
