How to order a Wirex card

Ordering a Wirex card is a convenient and hassle-free process. This article provides step-by-step instructions for ordering both physical and virtual Wirex cards. 

Ordering a physical Wirex card 

First, open the Wirex app. Once you're logged in, navigate to the "Cards" section of the app.  

From there, select the "Physical" card from the carousel and click "Get Physical Card".  

You'll be asked to review and accept the Card Terms. If you do not have sufficient funds in your account, you may be prompted to top up before ordering your card. The exact amount required varies by region but will be clearly displayed in the app. Please note that we do not charge any additional fees, but we require an initial balance on your card to cover the cost of trackable Express delivery if you opt for it. 

After that, enter your delivery address and ensure that it is correct. 

 If there are multiple delivery options available, you will be prompted to choose your preferred option. The Standard option is a non-trackable local post service, while the Express option is a trackable DHL Express service.  

Next, choose an account to pay the delivery fee and confirm the order. Your physical card may take up to two weeks to arrive. 

Ordering a virtual Wirex card 

Ordering a virtual Wirex card is just as simple. Follow the same steps as for a physical card.  

Open the Wirex app, log in, and navigate to the "Cards" section of the app.  

Choose the "Virtual" card from the carousel, click "Get Virtual Card", review and accept the Card Terms, and top up your account if needed.  

Your virtual card will be immediately available in the app. 

Remember that you can order both a physical and virtual card. Each card has a unique card number and can be used for different purposes. 

If you encounter any issues while ordering your card, please see the following common reasons for card order failure: 

  • Negative balance: If one of your cards has a negative balance, you will need to top it up before ordering a new one. 

  • Insufficient funds: To order a card, you need to have a minimum amount of funds in your account. The exact amount required will be displayed in the app. 

  • Only one physical card: You can only have one physical card at a time.
