The following terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to the Refer-a-Friend Promotion (the “Promotion”) which is offered by Wirex Digital d.o.o., subject to your location and eligibility (referred to as “Wirex”):
Timescale
1. The Promotion will run from 15:01pm GMT on 1st April 2023 until until 23:59pm GMT on 31st December 2023 (“Promotion Period”).
Eligibility
2. This Promotion is open to Wirex Verified Users . Verified Users are users who pass KYC process by the applicable Wirex Terms and Conditions in the EEA (European Economic Area) region and Terms and Conditions in Asia Pacific (APAC) region, or the Rest of the World region Terms and Conditions requirements (“Eligible Participants”). For the avoidance of doubt, no other users of the Wirex Platform are eligible to participate in this Promotion.
3. For the avoidance of doubt, no other users of the Wirex Service are eligible for this Promotion only verified Wirex account holders in the EEA, RoW and APAC region are eligible to act as Referrers as part of this Promotion (“Eligible Participants”, “you” or “Referrers”).
4. Under this Promotion, the Referrer is eligible to be considered for a Promotion Reward (as defined in clause 10(a)).
5. Under this Promotion, the person who is referred to the Wirex Service (“Friend” or the “Referred User”, “Referrals”)may also be eligible to be considered for a Promotion Reward that Refferer is eligible additional to the perks that the Wirex products have on offer.
6. A Referred User qualifies as such only when they have registered with a Referral Link (as defined in clause 12) and completed one or more Referral Action (as defined by clause 10(b)) (the “Successful Referral”).
7. This Promotion is not open to users resident in the UK, USA & Singapore.
Reward
The Promotion Reward
8. To be entitled to receive the Promotion Reward, the Referrer must successfully refer Referred Users using a Referral Link (as defined in clause 13) subject to the Referred User(s) successful registration and account verification with the Wirex Service and completion of one of the of the Referral Actions (as defined in clause 10(b)) in 45 days from registration (the “Successful Referral”).
9. For the avoidance of doubt, any Successful Referral made before the Promotion Period will not be eligible for the Promotion Reward and will not qualify as a Successful Referral.
10. Wirex will reward each Referrer User as follows:
a) The “Promotion Reward” for each Successful Referral will be calculated according to the following formula subject to the limitations on Promotion Reward distribution set out in clause 10 and Wirex’s update of the Promotion Reward terms from time to time.
Referrer and Referral Promotion Reward:
- USD 10 in WXT when the Referral makes a Deposit in an X-Accounts Plus account with a value between USD 100 – USD 500 by the Referred User.
- USD 30 in WXT when the Referral makes a Deposit in an X-Accounts Plus account with a value over USD 500 by the Referred User.
b) “Referral Action” means the following:
“X-account Plus Funded”: means the Referred User opening an X-account Plus of their choice and depositing a minimum amount of USD 100 or USD 500 into their X-account.
c) For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotion Reward will only be awarded in WXT. The WXT amount will be subject to an exchange rate determined by Wirex at Wirex’s sole discretion.
e) The Promotion Reward will be credited to the Referrer’s WXT account within 30 Working Days of the end of the Promotion Period.
f) The Promotion Reward can be converted to traditional fiat currency through the Wirex App at the Referrer’s sole discretion in accordance to the Wirex app limits for WXT exchange.
g) Once Wirex has awarded Promotion Reward up to the Total Reward Amount for each Successful Referral, no further Promotion Rewards will be paid.
h) Wirex reserves the right to amend the Promotion Reward and Total Reward Amount at any time without notice to Wirex Users, Referrers, Referred Users or any other third parties.
11. We reserve the right not to pay out any Promotion Rewards for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to circumstances where we:
i. are prohibited by applicable law;
ii. are unable to verify your, or the Referred User's, identity in accordance with our Terms;
iii. reasonably suspect that the Wirex account has been created by the Referred User fraudulently or the Referred User's Wirex account is otherwise in breach of our General Terms of Service;
iv. believe you have breached any provision in these Terms or our General Terms of Service;
v. you, or the Referred User, have multiple Wirex Profiles.
Referral Link
12. The “Referral Link” is a unique code that can be generated by each Wirex account holder to facilitate referrals. For the purposes of this Promotion, the Referral Link must be generated through your Wirex account and used by the Referred User to create a Wirex account and qualify as a Successful Referral.
13. The instructions to generate a Referral Link via the Wirex App are as follows:
i. on the “Dashboard”, tap X-tras;
ii. on the “X-tras screen”, tap “Invite Friends”;
iii. on the “Invite Friends” screen tap “Share Referral Link”;
iv. paste the link to any kind of a messenger or social sharing platform. v. you will be notified if your friend uses this link to register with Wirex (as per General Terms and Conditions applicable in your region).
14. The method to generate a Referral Link outlined in clause 12 may be updated by Wirex at any time without notice to Wirex Users, Referrers and Referred Users.
General
15. Subject to applicable law, Wirex will not under any circumstances be liable to compensate Wirex users, Referrers, Referred Users or any other third parties for any losses or damages occurring as a result of their participation in this Promotion.
16. This Promotion is for individual Users only and cannot be used in connection with any business or advertising affiliate activity. Should Wirex in its absolute discretion consider that a User is using this Promotion in connection with a business or advertising affiliate activity, it can withdraw your right to a Promotion Reward and remove you from the Promotion.
17. Wirex may, at its sole discretion, revise any of these Terms or terminate this Promotion at any time without prior notice to Wirex users, Referrers or Referred Users. By participating in, you agree that receiving Rewards are not guaranteed by Wirex and Reward may not be paid if a change in the Promotion occurs, a limitation applies, or a fraud is detected.
18. Wirex will only process personal information collected or received in connection with the Promotion as set out in its Privacy, Data Use and Retention Policy, which is available on by clicking the following link: https://wirexapp.com/en-gb/privacy-data-retention.
19. This Promotion is launched by Wirex independently and there are no partnerships between Wirex and any merchant or other third parties relating to this Promotion.
20. The Terms of this Promotion are governed by the laws of England and the parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear, settle and/or determine any dispute, controversy or claim (including any non-contractual dispute, controversy or claim) arising out of or in connection with this Promotion.
21. For the avoidance of doubt this Promotion is different to the Wirex “Refer a Friend Programme” terms.
Definitions
22. For purposes of this Terms, the following shall have the following meanings:
“Dashboard” means the visual display of all your data you see when opening the Wirex App.
“Share Referral Link” means the unique code the Referral will be sharing to the Referred User. Subject to applicable law, Wirex will not under any circumstances be liable to compensate Wirex users, Referrers, Referred Users or any other third parties for any losses or damages occurring as a result of their participation in this Promotion.
“USD” means United States Dollar.
“Wirex App” means the Wirex mobile application which allows you to buy, store, exchange and spend a wide variety of traditional and digital currencies.
“Working Days” means Monday to Friday, excluding weekend and any public holidays when the banks of England are closed for business.
“WXT” means the Wirex Token on the Wirex Service
“X-tras” means the Wirex Rewards (as defined by the General Terms and Conditions applicable in your location
